Where to stay
Located south of Sibuyan Island, San Fernando is characterized by three mountains and an uneven coastline with beautiful long stretches of sandy beaches. The sword-shaped Cresta de Gallo Island remains to be its defining tourist attraction, with its powdery sandbar and warm, aquamarine water. The town is also most known for Cantingas River Resort, the country's cleanest inland body of water with diving platforms as high as 30 feet. Two other distinct sites in town include Kweba Falls, whose cave has a clear lagoon of cold water, and Dagubdob Picnic Grove, which has natural pools surrounded by strange plants unique to the island.
