Located southwest of Tablas Island, Looc town faces Looc Bay, where one would find the 48-hectare Looc Fish Sanctuary. Protected since in 1989, this site prohibits any form of fishing, thereby preserving its underwater ecosystem. Tourists can go snorkeling here and spot fish unique to the area such as surgeonfish, kumai, and elak. Looc town features a number of ancestral houses, as well as a couple of leisure destinations such as the family-friendly Bantigue Resort which is famous for its bamboo-based Eiffel Tower, the eco-resort Cummings Highlands which offers several island tours and activities, and Grotto de Banloc, a six-hectare landscaped garden ideal for meditation retreats.
