Said to be the best halo-halo on Tablas Island, this roadside stall in Brgy. Gabawan attracts first timers and regulars alike. Their bestseller is the classic halo-halo, which is complete with the requisite ingredients: leche flan (milk custard), pinipig (rice crispies), langka (jackfruit), saba (banana), nata de coco, kaong (sugar palm fruit), beans, gulaman (jelly), and haleya (purple yam jam). For P50 a glass, Lily's doesn't scrimp on these freshly-cooked ingredients. Customers can get their halo-halo fix in plastic cups to eat while on the go, or by the stall while seated on a few number of wooden benches under the shade of the trees. Aside from the well-loved dessert, the stall also sells skewered hotdogs, siomai, and lugaw (rice porridge).

The Rising Pili
Attraction
1.36 km away

The Rising Pili is a family-run business that is marketing one of the Philippines' most famous nuts, the pili. The organically grown nuts are shipped over to Tablas Island from farms in the Bicol region where they are quality checked and packaged ready for export to countries in Europe, and the Middle East. Marketed under the brand, The Cracking Monkey, the pili nuts are sold with their shell on to harness their maximum benefits. Their factory employs local staff from Tablas, which greatly helps the development of the island towards being eco-friendly. As part of their commitment to reducing waste, The Rising Pili does not use any plastic. Instead, they package their all-natural product onsite in reusable cotton sacks. Those who want to learn more about pili nuts may book a tour with their factory, free of charge.

Looc still has a number of ancestral houses, and two outstanding ones are the Sison and Badillio residences. These houses have been preserved by the families that live here, offering a glimpse of the country's colonial past to the current generation. The Badillo residence, which is nearly a hundred years old, has managed to retain not only its exterior, but also its interiors. The houses are not open for public viewing, but some families allow visitors in, upon prior appointment.

Looc Fish Sanctuary
Attraction
2.23 km away

Covering 48 hectares, the Looc fish sanctuary helps to provide a sustainable source of fish to the local market. It has been a protected area since 1989 and attracts around ten thousand visitors a year. Fishing is banned within its borders and volunteers help to guard the site as well as acting as tour guides to the hundreds of visitors every month. Once on board the floating raft, there is a pool like enclosure where you may feed the fish and have some photo ops. Surgeon fish, Kumai and Elak are just a few of the fish that may be seen here. There are snorkels for rent for the more adventurous who would like to jump into the sea for a bit of snorkelling.
